Slice the Pie opened their doors back in 2007. The company allows small artists and bands to get their music rated by ordinary people, like you.

Most of the reviews go back to the artists to help them evaluate how their music is being perceived by music fans, which can provide some valuable insight into their music.

The reviews allow the artists and bands know what the music fans think of them, which in return, provides great feedback.

Your job will be the reviewer. You will be paid for your reviews. This is what a simple Slice the Pie review will look like.

How Does Reviewing Work?

As a reviewer, you will be given a selection of random songs by random artists and bands. You will be required to listen to at least 90 seconds of audio before you will be permitted to submit your review.

1. You will need to provide a text-based review. This is where you can include your opinions on a few things including:

• Lyrics
• Melody
• Vocals
• Instruments

Keep in mind the more things you include, the higher ranking you’ll achieve. The higher ranking you hold, the more money you can earn.

Most review payments start off at $0.02 per review, having said that my initial earnings started at $0.05, then went up to $0.07 most likely because I added more detail in my second review.

Typically, if you put in little to no effort your review will make you $0.02. Having said that, you will typically average between $0.05 to $0.10 a review. This will all be dependent on how much detail you add in your review.

However, it is reported that each review can make you anywhere from $0.02 up to $0.20. Keep in mind, that you will need to make a minimum of $10 before you can request payout.

Research FM is similar to Slice the Pie. You will be listening to short music clips and then you will rate them.

Your ratings will be passed along to various radio stations. This allows the radio stations to understand what music you would prefer to hear.

Music XRay opened their doors back in 2009. It allows artists and bands to submit their songs and allow people like you to earn money listening to these clips of music.

What’s cool about Music XRay is that it allows users like you to pick genres that you are interested in.

How it Works

Artists and bands will pay a fee to promote their work using Music XRay. In return, you will be required to listen to these recordings. Typically, a recording is around 30 seconds. You will be paid a few cents per song you listen to.

You are required to listen to a minimum of 30 seconds to be credited. After you finish listening to the sample, you can either decline or become a fan. It doesn’t matter what option you select, you will still be paid for it.

Pro-Tip: It is must change your music genres on a weekly basis, to ensure you keep getting clips to listen to.

How do I Get Paid?

Music XRay pays their reviewers through Paypal. You will need to make a minimum of $20 before they can request payment.

InboxDollars
